There are mysteries that are hidden from us, mysteries that encompass the entire universe. There are many who are seeking the answers to the universe and to their own miserable life. What is the meaning of life? Where do we even begin to look?

 Have you heard of Grok? That is Elon Musk’s AI, he just finished building it. I heard he used 100,000 GPU’s from Nvidia. Think of the power of that sucker! I heard he was going to use it to help search the universe in hopes of finding answers to the origin and purpose of life. 

This is what I say to Elon, good luck with that! But I’m afraid he is going to be sorely disappointed. And I could go on and on about the different Religions of the world, all seeking answers to life’s toughest questions. Many of which come up with a big fat zero.

Fortunately the answer is right here on the earth. For many it is right in front of your nose and you either ignore it or are not aware of it.

The universe has spoken and it has spoken to us and it is good news, so there is no need to fret, nobody is coming to get you.

I struggled mightily with this issue back when I was in High School, I’m in my mid 70s now so its been a while, but lately I have thinking about these things again. I eventually became part of the Jesus Movement. After graduating I hitchhiked to Berkeley, CA to go check out the Hippie Movement.

I remember someone telling me to not go to Haight Ahbury park because there are people getting killed there. I thought, “what the hell!, what happened? What happened to all the love and peace that was promised? Word scannot describe how disappointed I was. No answers here. Nothing. And that is how I felt, just a big fat nothingness. Just as well move on.”

Actually it is not the universe per say that has spoken, the universe is just an inanimate thing, but the God of the universe has spoken. He has revealed himself to us. It is all recorded in the holy scriptures, the Bible. Yes the Bible, you got one? Surprise, surprise it is all there in that one book.

I know I was surprised. Eventually while hanging around the U.C. Berkeley campus I ran into some Jesus Freaks. I asked them why they were all smiles since I couldn’t see anything to smile about. They said it was Jesus. “Jesus!“ I  said, “that can’t be, I grew up in the Lutheran church and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. How boring, how stuffy, a bunch of hypocrites and my dad was one of the biggest!”

As it turns out the Lutherans were missing an important and vital ingredient. Jesus. That is, having a personal relationship with him. With God himself! A loving God who loves me. Now life has meaning. But enough about me, lets get back to the Bible.

To give you a sample of what it says here is an excerpt from 1Timothy3:16

“Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.”

There it is: the great mystery of the universe revealed, Jesus Christ. We don’t have to search the universe with some AI thingy helping us. God came down to us. And not just that but he came into the world to tell us that God is love, that he loves us. And he came to show us the way.

Please don’t get it in your head that Jesus is one way and there certainly must be many other ways to find God. There isn’t, he is the only way. He is it, you can look like so many others have throughout the centuries, hint, they came up with a big fat zero. Why do you think Musk is still looking? It is because he thinks mankind so far has come up with nothing. 

So there you have it, do I need to say anything else? Go get yourself a bible and start reading. I suggest you start in the New Testament. the Bible has two parts the Old Testament and the New Testament. The old starts with Genesis and the new starts with the gospel of Matthew. The New Testament starts with Christ being born. It is his story.

You can download a bible for free onto your phone. There are many different translations, don’t let that confuse you, they are all good, just find the one that is easy for you to understand. You can always explore other translations later.

And don’t get caught up in some of these outlier religions like Mormonism or Jehovahs Witnesses. Stay in the mainstream.

Like I said, lately I have been thinking about those days when I felt so lost and could not find the meaning of life, so lately I have been praying for all those who like me feel lost and hopeless. So if that describes you guess what? I am praying for you. I bet you thought nobody cared, wrong, I do. Even though I don’t know you I do know what it fells like to be lost and  even suicidal. There is hope, read the Bible and pray. Find God!
