Christianity

Woman

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety. 1Tim.2:8-15

But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.

A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels. Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God. 1Co.11:16

This issue of women attire at church has come up a lot on social media and I want to share  my thoughts about the whole matter because I do have some  opinions on this subject.

Firstly is the clothing issue. Should women wear modest attire while attending church services? According to 1Tim.2  the answer is yes. Paul says that women are to dress modestly with decently and propriety. In modern slang  we could say, cover it up buttercup. That is what it says, but why?

Ladies lets talk about your breast. Yes men think they are beautiful, so beautiful we like to look at them, indeed stare at them if we can get away with it and eventually we end up lusting after them.

You might say, “that’s your problem, learn to control your sinful desires” well yes you are right, but can we get a little help from you also? Paul says yes you should co-operate with men on this issue because we are very weak in this matter. So please cover your breast completely, don’t go half way on this, no cleavage, completely.

One more thought on women’s breast, you should not let anyone see your breast or any part of your breast ever except your husband or your future husband if you are not married. Save them for him and him only. Let them be his own treasure. And in bed let him enjoy this special treasure. Him and him only. Think of your body as something sacred.

More on to the clothes issue. Paul says to dress modestly with decently and propriety. Cover it up, your skin that is, and don’t wear tight fitting clothes and thus revealing your shapely body. Again you say, why?

Let me ask you this, if the whole church were women would you wear the same tight fitting and breast reveling clothes? So it is for the men you wear it, but why? Do you want to have the power to turn every man’s head your way? Are you trying to attract men? Kind of like a shiny colorful lure attracts a fish. And this in church?

Don’t you know you are hurting some men? We are vulnerable to lust, almost all men are and furthermore the Bible strictly warns us not to engage in lustful thoughts or actions, here is what the Bible says…

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. 1Th.4:3-8

Godly men take these scriptures seriously and believe me when I say that fighting against our lusts is a monumental task, indeed the hardest thing I have ever done personally and I don’t think I am much different than most other men.

The point is, you are not helping, instead you are hurting the godly men in your church by dressing immodestly. Paul is saying exactly what all godly men would say, please cover it up buttercup. Can’t you do that for one hour while attending church?

Lastly lets talk about the head covering mentioned in 1Cor.11. for the first 1900 years after Christ women obeyed this admonition to put some kind of covering on their head while praying or attending church. Sometime around 1920 thanks to Hollywood this practice began to fade away. But it is still there in the Bible and no it wasn’t just for that time and place. All the churches practiced it even after all the Apostles were dead, I know because we have about 8,000 pages written by the Church leaders during  the first 300 years or so and that is what they said.

Why the head covering? Respect first and foremost. Let me ask you, do all the men in your church wear their baseball cap all through the service? No! Would that be offensive to you? Yes it would because it is obviously disrespectful.  Well it is the same thing, in the same portion of scripture Paul tells the men to take their hats off in church and he tells the women to put a head covering on  in church. So society has convinced the women they don’t have to cover their heads but they have left the men alone on this issue. I blame it on feminism.

Should women wear a head covering then? Well yes because scriptures tell you to. Will you? No but I get it and I don’t blame you but you see how things are changing and not for the better it is for the worse, we are drifting away from the word of God. The point is I guess if we have to compromise than lets forget about the head covering  as long as you cover up your body in a decent manner. How about that? Agreed? Good.

In case you are still not convinced I’m going to give you some bonus material. We are going on a imaginary journey, you and I. We are going to church together, your church and I am going to open your eyes and show you what is going on in the spirit world inside your church service. I can do that because I am a spiritual man, I am not a carnal christian, I am spiritual and I understand a lot of things in the spiritual world, trust me on this.

We walk in together and sit down, at first you see nothing different. But then as you look around you see a lot of men dressed in military gear and not just some gear they are fully decked out in everything imaginable, body armor, army boots laced up high, helmets and a side arm and a rifle! And not just some common AK47 but the latest and greatest high tech gun with a laser scope and a big magazine. They are sitting there with their guns in their hands looking straight ahead with their faces like flint. You say, “ I wouldn’t want to be the person who messes with them, they are liable to get their heads blown off.”

There is something else you see, as you look around you notice the few ladies who typically wear scanty clothing that they seem to be looking at the military men and whispering, “look at me, don’t I look delicious, wouldn’t you like some of me for yourself?” But these silent messages when they reach the military men are blocked by the body armor that he is wearing and then a dark and erotic spirit rises up from these ladies and attacks the military men saying, “ I demand that you look at her or else I will kill you” the military man pulls out his side arm and shoots the demon down with one shot, plus he puts several more into him just for good measure.

You turn to me and say, “ I can’t believe what I’m seeing, there is a war going on right here in church! This isn’t right, those men should not have to wear their full military gear to church they should be wearing their civvies and relaxing and fellowshipping and spending time worshiping the Lord. And they most certainly should not be firing their weapons and engaging in some kind of warfare.” End of story. Well not quite.

As she looks around she notices a lot of the men are not geared up for battle but instead are wearing regular clothes. “Who are these” she says to me, “these are the men who have not learned to fight against their carnal nature particularly their lustful desires and as a result when tempted in this area they tend to just cave in to those thoughts. They won’t look any different then Mr. Holier than thou but inside the spirit of lust has done its work and they have sinned against the Most High God. For all sins begin in our minds.” The end.

Now do you see the problem? Us men do want to come to church wearing our civvies and enjoying ourselves in company with all the other saints but we can’t. We fight all day long every day. We get up and go to work, there we encounter hot babes, jail bait, for whoever commits sin is a slave to sin Jesus said.  On the way home we hear lust filled songs on the radio, we stop at the store, more jail bait, we get home turn on the tv, more jail bait, we turn to our phones or our composites, more, more, more, it never seems to end. Then we go to bed we look to our spouses for some relief and she says, “not tonight darling, I’m really tired.” Finally on Sunday we go to church thinking we can finally take off our military gear and put on our civvies and relax, but no, there in church are more hot looking babes so we put on the military gear once again and continue the fight.

If everybody obeyed the instructions in the Bible, we would not have to gear up and fight in church!

In conclusion then here are the marching orders for the ladies

  1. Cover your breasts completely

2. No tight fitting clothing top or bottom

3. Don’t wear your hair short

4. Wear a head covering

5. Submit to your husbands. Sarah is your example who called her husband “lord”

6. You are not permitted to teach men

7. Not too much jewelry, perfume and  makeup

Having said that do you still want to be a Christian? “Yes” you say, “but I will do it my way”.

You are all a bunch of rebels.
